Video: VASA visits Automechanika, European Automotive Air-Conditioning Convention in Frankfurt

VASA’s recent trip to Frankfurt, Germany took in the massive Automechanika trade show, followed by a meeting of our continental affiliates MACPartners Europe (also attended by representatives from our North American counterparts MACS Worldwide) and the fascinating European Automotive Air-Conditionng Convention.

The mission of VASA President Ian Stangroome and Executive Director of Communications and Editorial Haitham Razagui was to represent VASA on the world stage, gain insights about what the future holds for our industry at home and make connections that will enhance and strengthen the association in terms of the value it can bring to members.

Both Automechanika and EAAC were so jam-packed with activity that Editor Razagui decided on the spot to make a couple of 10-minute video blogs to bring the action and atmosphere from Europe direct to your screen.

A few figures to put the sheer scale of Automechanika into perspective: The Messe Frankfurt venue has a footprint of 592,167 square metres (almost 30 times the size of Melbourne Cricket Ground) and housed 4820 Automechanka exhibitors from 76 countries. VASA was among the 136,000 Automechanika visitors representing 170 different nationalities.
